Tuesday, December 23, 2008
Dynek Sutures is participating in the first National Clinical Skills Program, conducted as a series of rolling workshops around Australia by The Benchmarque Group.
The Program is designed to assist nurses and other health professionals to better understand aspects of medical treatment, Dynek’s National Manager of Hospitals and University Training, Martin Fynnaart said.
“This is a very interesting workshop series exposing health professionals to a range of health care issues, including health-care human management, ear irrigation and CPR and AED,” he said.
“Dynek is contributing to the program by providing the surgical sutures for each two-day wound management course.”
The NCSP provides participants with the theory and knowledge to undertake wound closure using basic suturing and wound closure techniques.
Participants learn the theory of wound closure and take part in practical workshops.
As one of the first sponsors of the National Clinical Skills Program, Dynek’s involvement has resulted in participants benefiting from a $400 rebate off the list price of the Wound Closure course, which is conducted over two days.
The Program has already been conducted in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Hobart and Perth. A further extensive program in2009 is open for registration.
Health professionals interested in the course can register via the National Clinical Skills Program website – http://www.ncsp.com.au, or contact The Benchmarque Goup on 1300 855 568.
