DYLOC®
DYLOC is a monofilament of a thermoplastic polyether-ester elastomer. DYLOC is soft and very manageable. It ties very much like silk as the stretch in the suture allows for the material to hold its knot.
NOTE: As DYLOC is a monofilament polyether and has elastic properties, care should be taken when using it as a subcuticular stitch. Do not pull tightly or over stretch as it may recoil when being removed.
